I love these sessions I’ve had in my clients homes. There is just so much personality involved – we played games, had treats, and were just plain silly sometimes as well.

These 3 boys were full of energy! Alisa wanted to capture her relationship with each of her boys – so that’s exactly what we did. Each has their own “thing” and quite honestly, couldn’t believe that we were having a whole photo session around playing. It’s probably one of my favorite parts about doing Lifestyle Sessions – the kids thoroughly and completely enjoy themselves (mom & dad have fun too!). Take a look at what we did together:

It was POURING rain the afternoon of this shoot. Kara & I were on the phone “Should we cancel? Should we try anyway?” probably every 5 minutes. I’m so glad we didn’t cancel. I got to the Utah State Fair and there was a light drizzle, and after a few minutes it stopped raining and the sun even peaked out from behind the clouds. It was perfect. We had so much running all over the fair, eating ice cream, throwing tantrums (well, some of us anyway), and just playing. I loved watching their family together – thanks for such a great evening!!

On my recent trip to CA, I collaborated with my bro-in-law’s family to do a lifestyle shoot for their family. I LOVED that my SIL asked, “well, what about rock climbing?” Ummm… yes, please!!! And to top it off, rock climbing at Split Rock right on the San Fransisco Bay? Double yes! We seriously had a blast. I was super impressed with my nieces (who both made it to the top btw), as well as my 4-year-old nephew. The weather was gorgeous, the subjects were gorgeous, my gorgeous baby slept in the stroller so I could take a turn up the rock and reminisce about how I used to do this more often in college. Doesn’t get much better than that!

This has taken me FOREVER to get the rest of these up the blog. I had such a great time with these guys, and with triplet-almost-3-year-olds I think we did pretty well. And, you can see why the kids are so cute. Mom & dad make a striking couple.![]()

Let’s celebrate photography & families! Great idea? Yes. I thought so. I decided to mix things up a little this fall and create an opportunity for me to get to know YOU better. What your family is like, and more of your personality.
This is an opportunity for you to get help paying for your family photos. So, if you’ve thought about, or wanted a session from Picture Me Mine Photography, now’s the time!
How to enter:
1. Take a picture of something your family loves to do. Get creative. You can have members of your family in it, you can be abstract, get high, get down low, try a different point of view. Take it in full sun, in the shade, out at the park, whatever. I’m looking for a mix of creative, technical, & personality. So, make it more than just a snapshot!
2. Resize the photo so its no bigger than 1000px on the longest side. Please don’t send me huge photos. I’m already running out of hard drive space as is. But, I do need them large enough to actually see, so 1000px is about right.
3. Put your family’s name in the file name, i.e. Currenawesomephotoentry.jpg, or really just Currenfamily.jpg would work fine.
4. Email to jess{AT}picturememine{DOT}com. Yes. I’m paranoid about spammers. You can read that, right?
The Fine Print:
1. You can enter 1 photo for every member of your family. The photo has to be taken by that family member. So, give your camera to your 2 year old and see what they come up with!
2. The contest will close at Midnight on Sunday, September 26th. I figure that gives you 2 weekends to come up with something awesome.
3. This is not for extended families. Sorry. Immediate family only, but it can be just two of you if you don’t have kids yet.
4. Get your friends involved!! The person who invites the most friends to enter the contest will receive a $75 gift card to Picture Me Mine Photography. Send me an email with the names of your friend(s) who have entered by the time the contest closes.
What you win (the fun part!):
Grand Prize: Complimentary Family Session, 11×14 Wall Print & 30% off any other prints/digital files ordered.
Second Prize: 4 movie tickets (family night out!)
Third Prize: $25 restaurant gift card
Any questions?? Get crackin’!
And, to show I’m involved too, here’s an example of what we love to do as a family: Stomp Rocket!!
