Super cute couple! Oh  my goodness they had a lot of energy – which was incredible since they drove from Washington State the day of their session. WOW. Craziness. Anyway, this couple was the winner of my engagement session giveaway and they were a pleasure to work with!

Oh my! I love these too so much. Their excitement, energy, and love for each other was so apparent all day long. It was a beautiful, sunny, spring day and we just had a blast!

    Oh Heritage Gardens… DO you remember that is where I worked as a wedding coordinator/florist/server/everything else for several years. And that is where I had my reception. Love it!

Off camera flash is also very useful outdoors. When you are in non-ideal lighting situations (i.e. your client can only schedule the photo shoot at noon), you want a nice sunset photo, or anytime you don’t want to blow out your background to properly expose your subject.     Great use of off camera flash. The flash images are really dramatic and are a mark of a professional. I love the painting with light. I have to practice this technique to master it.

    How fantastic for you to be a Mom who is a professional photographer !!! These photos of your kids are great – if it were I, I’d probably be trying to capture every waking (and sleeping) moment of my children :)) Another thing – the eyes of your children in these photos are especially striking and beautiful.
