I usually pick out my children’s lovey’s. I probably love them more than they do. Like when Andrew’s elephant went missing for 2 weeks I scoured the internet to find a replacement (it was retired) only to have the lovey found 1 week after it arrived. It didn’t matter that Andrew wasn’t too concerned. I missed the elephant.
About a month ago I was out maternity clothes shopping with my kids when they started going through the stuffed animals in the store. I casually suggested they pick out a lovey for baby, and they happily complied. After turning down an elephant (Andrew’s choice) and a monkey (Rachel’s lovey) they settled on a giraffe.
